Description UPDATE: Top of slide and under barrel of frame may have seen a buffing wheel. Colt Model 1911 “Black Army” chambered in .45 ACP with one, seven round two-tone unmarked magazine and a 5″ Colt barrel. Manufactured and shipped in 1918 with serial number 459446. Blued steel frame with heart shaped grip opening. Smooth flat main spring housing. Solid single action trigger and hammer. Frame mounted manual thumb safety and grip depression safety. The left side of the frame is marked with Eagles Head inspection mark with S6. The left side of the trigger guard is marked “25”. The right side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” over “No459446”. “H” inspection mark above and “G” production order below the disconnector hole on the frame. Checkered walnut double diamond stocks. Blued serrated Colt slide. The left side of the slide has the two line date and patent with Rampant Colt in-between. The right side of the slide is marked “MODEL OF U.S.ARMY”. Fixed iron sights. The inside of the slide is marked with a “G” and other small proofs. The top of the barrel is marked “HP” and the bottom is marked with a “G”. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Fair with most of the finish being in the white or heavily patinated. Varying spots and speckling of metal oxidation and pitting throughout. Wear from general handling and operation. Some scratches, wear, and darkening on the grips.
