Colt Government, Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45 M1911. Most likely a double-war gun and in Service for WWI and WWII. Frame Stamped UNITED STATES PROPERTY, with GHS Inspectors cartouche above Magazine Release. Slide is marked with two-line roll mark and rampant colt. Rear strap marked B22, Back of slide stamped H. Barrel is stamped HS and P, Top of Frame is stamped H,T,G. Slide Stop, Safety, bushing, and hammer have strong blue finish and are likely replacements. Finish is varied from areas of wear to a greenish patina. Scratches on the front strap, an area of vigorously cleaned rust on the slide, and plenty of holster wear. Grips are worn and have a fantastic patina, despite possible clear coat. One rusty two-tone magazine. Function is good. With a Sears US Military Holster dated 1942, and an Audley safety retention holster dated 1914. *C&R ELIGIBLE
