Description Remington 1858 New Model Army chambered in .44 Caliber with a six-shot cylinder and a 8″ octagonal barrel. Blued barrel, ram rod, frame, cylinder, and single action trigger. Brass trigger guard. Case colored hammer. Smooth wood grips. Rear trench/notch and front blade iron sights. The left side/bottom of the barrel is marked “C” and the right side is marked “W”. The ram rod is marked “A”. Multiple “W” stamps on the frame and cylinder. “C” stamp on the bottom of the frame forward of the trigger guard. “C” stamps on the bottom of both grips. Inspector stamp on the left grip. Antique, ships directly to buyers home in MOST states. Condition: Antique Good/Very good with scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Spots and speckling of metal oxidation and patina on most of the metal parts. Some tarnish/patina on the brass. Heavier patina/finish thinning on a part of the cylinder. The grips appear to have been sanded at some point. Light scratches and dings in the grips. The markings are still crisp and visible. Bright and clean bore with strong visible rifling.
