Description Antique Steyr Gew 88 chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser S Patrone with a five round clip fed integral magazine and a 29.5″ barrel. Dated to 1890, stamped on the right side of the receiver. Originally chambered in 7.92mm Patrone 88 and converted to 7.92×57mm Mauser S Patrone with S stamp on the receiver. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Straight bolt handle and flag style safety. Smooth wood straight grip stock with metal butt plate. Front and rear sling swivels. The Middle barrel band is marked with “B.L.R.R.128.” Regimental mark. Mismatched serialized parts. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers homes. Condition: Antique Fair/Good with almost all of the finish being in the white with heavy patina and spots of metal oxidation. The butt plate has heavier metal oxidation. The stock has been sanded and refinished at some point. Varying scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood. The bore is bright and clean with strong rifling.
