Description Royal Small Arms Factory ( RSAF ) Enfield MK II in .476 Enfield with a six round capacity and a 5.75″ barrel. This is one of two hundred first batch Canadian Contract revolvers. These were used by the North West Mounted Police between 1883-1911. This example is marked with rack/inventory number on the wood grip: NWMP 100 CANADA. Blued trigger, frame, cylinder, knurled hammer and barrel. Bottom of grip located lanyard loop. Right side of frame loading gate. Top left side of frame serrated lever opens the action. The unique action is a Owen Jones selective extraction/ejection system which allows for spent cartridges to be ejected while live ones stay in cylinder. Front fixed blade sight. English proof marks, date of 1881 and Up-Arrow acceptance proofs on the right side of revolver. Serial number matching on frame and barrel. Mismatched to frame serial number on cylinder. Antique, No FFL required and ships to MOST buyers homes. Condition: Antique, Very Good with scratches, wood dings/small hole in rear grip, finish wear/loss and light spots of rust.
