Description DWM P08 Double Date Army Rework Luger chambered in 9mm with one non-matching wood base plate magazine and a 4″ barrel. Manufactured in 1918 with serial number 2905″f”. The top of the chamber is marked with “1918” manufacture date and “1920” property mark during the Treaty of Versailles. Rust blued frame with stock lug, narrow trigger guard, and push button magazine release. Straw finished takedown lever, wide trigger, extractor, and serrated thumb safety marked “GESICHERT”. Checkered walnut grips. Rust blued barrel, chamber, and toggle with flat checkered toggle knobs. Front fixed “dorsal fin” blade and rear V notch iron sights. The toggle is marked with “DWM”. Acceptance mark on the right side of the receiver. Military proof marks on the right side of the receiver, the barrel, and left side of the breech block. All parts appear to be serial number matching other than the magazine and the side plate which is un-serialized. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Fair/Good with scratches, sharp edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Finish wear on the moving/internal parts from operation. Spots of finish loss, finish patina, and metal oxidation. The straw parts are mostly in the white. Finish thinning on the contact points such as the front and back strap. Darkening on the grips with scratches and checkering wear. The bore shows strong visible rifling, but also has spots of metal oxidation throughout.
