Description World War II Remington 03-A3 chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a five round internal magazine and a 24″ barrel. Manufactured in 1943 with serial number 4072681. The barrel is also dated 1943 and stamped “R.A. (FLAMING BOMB PROOF) 10-43”. Parkerized barrel, receiver, magazine floorplate, trigger, trigger guard, and bolt with flag style safety. Receiver mounted magazine cut off. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Front sight cover marked with Flaming Bomb proof and “U.S.”. Smooth wood forend and straight grip with with metal trap door butt plate. The left side of the stock is stamped with Springfield Armory Cross Cannons, “RA” and “FJA” Frank J Atwood acceptance cartouche. The bottom of the stock is stamped with circled “P”. Other small cartouches forward of the magazine floor plate. The right side of the stock has what looks like an “L” in yellow paint. Front and rear sling swivels with mounted green fabric sling. Comes with four stripper clips. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Very good with general scratches, sharp edge wear, contact marks, and handling wear. Patina on the finish and green discoloration from oil. Some metal oxidation on the butt plate. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the wood. The stock appears to have been sanded at some point, but the marking are still visible. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
