Description Russian Capture 243 Code Mauser, Borsigwalde K98 chambered in 8mm Mauser with a five round internal magazine capacity and a 24″ barrel. Early war K98 manufactured in 1938 and imported by R Guns, marked on the right side of the barrel. Front bayonet lug and cleaning rod. Milled front barrel bands. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed front blade. Three position flag bolt safety. Mismatched stamped magazine floor plate. Blued/black finish with smooth wood to forend and stock with non cupped early war butt plate. Front and rear sling mounts with leather sling. The barrel, receiver, and stock are serial number matching. The bolt body and the trigger guard are matching in electro pencil. The rest of the parts are mis matched. Waffenamt26 stamped twice on the barrel and three time on the receiver. Third Reich eagle stamps on the barrel and receiver. “WaA1” marked on the butt plate. Multiple other Waffenamt on the non matching parts. Russian capture “x” mark on the receiver. “7,9” Is marked on the barrel shank. Faded “WaA749″ Waffenamt stamped twice on the stock with H Heer marking as well. Comes with metal barrel cover. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with general scratches, scuffs, and finish wear from handling and operation. Varying spots of metal oxidation and small spots of pitting. The butt plate is in the white. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on the stock. Bright and clean bore with strong visible rifling.
