Description Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered in .308 Winchester with a eight round clip fed internal magazine and a 24″ barrel. SA receiver dated to 1941 with serial number 174794. Federal Ordnance Inc barrel marked “FED ORD. INC.S.E.M. CAL308”. Springfield Armory bolt marked “6528287-SA US1”. Winchester trigger guard marked “C46025W.R.A.”. Smooth wood top forend and National Match stock with trap door butt plate. National Match mark on the left side of the stock and P proof mark on the grip of the stock. Front and rear sling swivels. Adjustable rear peep sight and protected front blade sight. “M” Mark on the front of the gas tube. Comes with M1 Garand bayonet with 10″ blade, wood scabbard, and black grips. The blade is marked “U C U S”. Also comes with five en-block clips. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good having been refinished with spots of metal/oxidation under the finish. Some of the finish on the receiver has turned to a plum color. General scratches and handling wear. The stock has been sanded and refinished with the NM marking being a little bit faded. The top of the rear peep sight has been grounded and flattened on top but still appears to be functional. Bright bore with strong rifling. The bayonet has general scratches and finish wear, a small amount of the tip is chipped off.
