Original German WWII Sextant with case, circa 1940. Case includes most if not all original accessories, light bulbs and battery packs. Made by C. Plath Hamburg, Germany, Model KM2-4, Serial 3203. Most likely used by Kriegsmarine, altough some were used by the luftwaffe. This particular piece has been “de-nazified” with the bottom half of the idenfiying plate having the surface removed mechanically. Other examples with the Nazi swastika have been found. Accompanied by Original Informal Entry and Manifest Customs Form dated 1947. Likely a US Soldier Bring-back item. Condition appear excellent, not tested.
