Colt Government Model 1911 in .45 ACP. This example dates to 1919 according to the Colt website. This looks to be a mix of original and replacement parts which look to include the hammer, grip safety, slide release and barrel bushing and grips. Included is a holster engraved with a badge logo with inscription “MAINE FOREST SERVICE”. We were told that this was the service pistol for “Leon E. Chamberlain”, who’s name is etched into the top of the holster flap. Condition: The finish is a mix of brown patina and cold blue. There is some oxidation on the front and back of the grip. Mechanical function is as expected and slide fitment is good. The bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Included is an additional set of grips and one magazine. C&R Eligible.
