Belgium made Browning BAR Grade IV by the Browning Arms Company of Morgan UT. This attractive rifle manufactured in 1976 is chambered in 7MM Remington Magnum. Grade IV rifles were only hand engraved from 1970 to 1976. The French grey receiver is engraved with two moose in a wooded scene on the left side and two running elk on the right side. The scenes are flanked by floral scroll engraving with a matte background. The lower left rear of the receiver is signed “C. Baerten”. The top of the receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope/sight mounting. The 24″ blue barrel was manufactured without sights and has the standard markings. The hinged floor plate is engraved with a floral scroll design. Gold plated trigger and mounted with a high gloss, nicely figured walnut checkered forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with a black rubber Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. The checkering has floral carved and dot bordering. This rifle is in excellent condition showing little use if any.
