Estate-Fresh Over Under Double Percussion Rifle. Muzzle Loading Antique Circa mid 19th century. 24″ barrels approximately .42 caliber. German Silver front blade and ramp rear sights. Engraved Hammers and tang, Silvered brass Trigger Guard, patchbox, inlay and crescent Butt Plate. Barrels and action have a fine dark brown to black patina, and about 30%+ silver remains on the brass parts. Bore is rifled, and good overall with thin, fine powder rust. Stock shows Some field and use marks, dings, hand-wear, etc. One hammer works properly, locks and fires, one hammer only half-locks and does not fire. Nipples are worn. One of two ramrods present.
