Full length stock percussion conversion seven-groove bore rifle in .45 caliber. Silver blade fore-sight with v notch rear sight. The dark brown patina lock plate is marked “J Mills”. The brass furniture includes fore-end cap, ramrod thimbles, trigger guard, butt plate, side plate, toe plate and fancy cartridge trap. The side plate, toe plate and cartridge trap are nicely etched. The curly maple stock features a Monte Carlo cheekpiece inlayed with and engraved U.S. Eagle emblem and wooden ramrod. The barrel shows spotty brown patina with signs of cleaning along with some pitting on the nipple and around the breech. The lock plate shows some engraving behind the hammer. The action works works as expected. The wood is in good condition exhibiting a nice grain. There is a small hairline crack just behind the tang.
