Mule ear percussion target rifle with seven-groove rifling in .44 caliber. Blade fore-sight and buckhorn rear sight. The top flat of the barrel is marked “Jacob Spangle”. The Mule Ear and side plate are engraved. Brass furniture includes fore-end cap, ramrod thimbles, trigger guard, butt plate and floor plate. Full walnut stock adorned with silver and brass inlays and wooden ramrod. The barrel has a heavy brown patina with some mild pitting at the muzzle and on the top forward of the rear sight. The lock with grey/black metal shows some mild pitting. The action works but the trigger does not reset by itself and must be manually pushed forward.
